/Position Opening in Georgetown Processing Plant/
Electrician B
Night Shift
The Georgetown processing plant has an opening for an Electrician B working on Night shift.
The essential function of this position is to service, maintain, and adjust production processing equipment, machinery, and plant facilities to maximize production up time including PM's and emergency response on equipment.
The major responsibilities of this position must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodation in order to achieve the essential purpose of this position:
1. Read and understand equipment manuals. Must be able to read and interpret electrical blueprints.
2. Climb ladder to service elevated equipment.
3. Perform scheduled maintenance on machines as directed. Understanding of two-wire, and three-wire control, conduit installation (ridged, EMT), VFD programming installation and troubleshooting, must stay up to date on electrical code.
4. Fix equipment when a breakdown occurs.
5. Walk, carrying boxes, tools and machine parts on wet and greasy floors for distance over 100 foot during performance of job function.
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
Must be able to pass and maintain LOTO training as well as NFPA 70E training and certifications.
Work in temperatures varying from below 32 F to above 75 F with humidity varying from ambient to 100%, noise exposure up to 100 decibels and visual light intensity varying from 50-200 foot candles.
Included are exposure to chlorine, ammonia vapors, carbon dioxide (10 ppm), dry ice, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and caustic detergent.
Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior and /or related experience preferred to be considered.
To be eligible for consideration, Perdue associate candidates cannot have more than 2 unexcused absences, 0 active disciplinary actions and be in their current position for a minimum of 6 months.
