Position Summary The Community Outreach intern assists with many of the outreach needs and general office assistance of the residential energy programs.
Core functions of this position include supporting the Outreach Manager in marketing and outreach with event participants, as well as assisting in administrative duties focused on event recruitment and promotion.
The position will offer the opportunity to gain experience in working in a nonprofit organization, social media, database management, community outreach, and communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Assist with administrative duties Assist with e-mail marketing and social media campaigns Generate new leads in state and local communities Lead and execute communications Manage relationships with event participants and organizers Assist staff at community events and workshops Run reports and provide analysis from data entry platform Prepare event material and logistics Other duties as assigned Position Requirements Education and Experience Enrolled in a full-time Associate's or Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university, preferably in applicable area of focus (Communications, Energy Management, Business or other related field with previous work experience is preferred) Must be able to start the Summer Internship program in the middle of May and continue with the internship program until it commences in early August Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong knowledge of social media sites (including, but not limited to:
Facebook, Twitter, etc.
) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Self-motivation and ability to multi-task Experience working independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain strong lines of communication with all staff Proven writing, editing, and customer service skills Must have professional communication skills and be comfortable on the phone Committed to diversity and inclusion Reliable transportation Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license Travel Requirements Willingness to travel up to 5% Estimated Wage Range:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
