Production Planning Associate

Production Planning Associate ensures accuracy, productivity, and master scheduling of inbound and outbound production at our facility.
Supports a service-oriented warehouse environment for internal and external customers.
Upholds accurate inventory levels through diligent inventory management, reconciliation, and process improvement.
Works with planning group and production to ensure on time deliveries and make sure customer requirements are communicated.
Communicates current lead times and shortages both customer and company owned.
Leads by example and plays an active role in selecting, training, and retaining a team of superior performers.
Supports the production team with materials and additional resources, as needed.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Works both departmentally and inter-departmentally to ensure cost effectiveness including shipping rates, packaging supplies and labor.
Works to streamline process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Performing research and analysis to understand the extent of all procedures.
Identifying the needs of clients Devising strategies for optimal operations Creating efficient scheduling processes or methods to attain production goals.
Create MRO work orders to ensure molds and equipment are ready for scheduled production Managing the master scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines.
Collect and manage configuration packets to include wo's, process sheets and data sheets to be scanned and attached to inventory items.
Managing material and equipment availability Monitoring the production process for problems Setting up and maintaining BOMS to accurately reflect on production work orders including part weights.
Check for daily variances in question and work with production to accurately record scrap and production parts.
Analyzes daily production usage for product and supplies to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Perform and manage inventory cycle counts for WIP and finished goods for yearend inventory audits.
Fosters positive working relationships and good communication both with the production department and inter-departmentally.

Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of four years' experience in an inventory role Planning experience in manufacturing industry or plastics a plus Experience working with inventory management software Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide Ability to perform basic applications of percentages and averages Reasoning Ability:
Ability to recognize non-compliance to work standards and contact appropriate supervision or management staff Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None required Physical Demands:
Extended hours of standing walking; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
