Registered Nurse (Nurse Manager - Georgetown CBOC)

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Will have direct line authority for clinic operations Provides direct supervision of nursing personnel Holds responsibility for the implementation of the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Wilmington VAMC within their defined area(s) of responsibility Engaged in administrative nursing practice characterized by both increased complexity of clinical decision-making and enhanced skill in nursing management Provides timely information regarding emergencies, unusual occurrences, or issues that impact on nursing practice to the Chief Responsible for:
standards of practice, training, functional statements, position descriptions, performance appraisals and staff evaluations, policies, procedures, protocols, and competencies Ensures appropriate orientation, education, and continuing professional development of nursing personnel they supervise Assumes responsibility for staffing and develops a staffing plan and ensures that assignments of staff reflect their appropriate skill and competency level Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, Administrative day tour. May be required to work extended or additional shifts to cover Patient Care Needs. Financial Disclosure Report:

Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. Standing (up to 2 hours), walking (up to 6 hours), stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and turning; repositioning patients, assisting with transfers; pushing or lifting more than 45 pounds; visual (corrected to 20/30 or better with color discrimination); auditory acuity; arms above shoulder level; neck in a fully flexed or extended position; work on computers for extended periods of time. Work is primarily conducted in a well-ventilated, adequately heated and cooled building. May be exposed to inclement weather when traveling around medical center. May be exposed to normal office irritants - dust, pollen, noise, vibrations, or odors. May be exposed to therapy animals with and without advanced notice. May be exposed to patients and family in emotional upheaval or extreme pain. Must have emotional stability to properly care for usual patient population.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
